KTNA gave us their old 1000 watt FM transmitter. It can be dialed back to 300 watt, our planned signal strength. Mike and I went up to Talkeetna to pick it up on Sunday, November 14. We took his daughter’s van so that the 42″ tall box could stand upright. It weighs about 350 lbs. Mike and I called a local friend of a boardmember, Jok, to help out. He made loading the transmitter possible. On Monday our friend Bob Lane helped us unload it in the garage. It now sits there, awaiting its next move to the site.
